Minister LaShawna Coffy is a born-again believer and a current member of Messiah Missionary Baptist Church. As a working mother of three children, she devoted herself to raising them first, and then returned to school to further her education. She currently holds an Associate’s Degree in Business from Indiana Wesleyan University and recently resumed classes at IWU in pursuit of her Bachelor’s of Science in Biblical Studies. She received the Lord’s call in October 2008, was ordained in September 2009 and preached her initial sermon November 4, 2009. She confessed a hope in Christ in November 1992, started walking with the Lord in 1994 and was baptized in March 1997. She’s an active member of the Media Ministry at her church and teaches Sunday school. She has been a public servant for 13 years at the Indianapolis Accounts Management Call Center, Wage and Investment division of the Internal Revenue Service. In addition to her service to the church and her local community, the Lord has allowed her to serve as the local chapter president of (C-FIRE) Christian Fundamentalist Internal Revenue Employees for the past four years. LaShawna displays her love for God by the love and concern she shows others. With a true servant’s heart, she faithfully serves her church and always looks for ways to give back to the community. She bears witness to the transforming power of God’s love and has a desire for others to know Him too through faith in His son Jesus Christ. She believes God loves a cheerful giver and blesses beyond material wealth when gifts are given from a pure heart. She is committed to spreading the Word of God through impartation, demonstration, and expectation while carrying out the great commission in Matthew 28:20.
